Today I came a step closer to fulfilling my long-cherished dream of standing upright on a cantering horse, my hair blowing in the wind. In the course of rehearsing my comedy number for the riding school Christmas show ("Voltigieren for Senior Citizens") I got to stand on a moving horse. Okay, pony. And it was in walk, not canter. But I still stood upright, and I didn't fall off. Go me!
