So, I am trundling my way through The Master of Ballantrae, having just had the pleasure of surprise Guest Appearance by none other than Alan Breck, when I come across this bit:
Ballantrae was made quartermaster, the rum was put in his charge, laws were passed in imitation of a pirate by the name of Roberts...
And from then on I have only one question: how on earth did RLS manage to get hold of a copy of The Princess Bride ??
