I hadn't realised quite how dependent I was on LJ for the reading equivalent of a coffee break - I'm used to dropping in every so often throughout the day to see if anyone's posted anything interesting, and now I have to go and watch bits of Two and A Half Men in German with my children instead, which is a very poor substitute.
That was very bad timing on LJ's part (or possibly on yours). However, ill winds blowing nobody good and all that, it did mean that I went and hung around on youtube instead, and ended up solving a translation problem, so I suppose I should be grateful.
It is the bus/train/other people who are early/late/missing.
This is why I have a problem with solipsism as a viable philosophy - if I had made up the whole of trality it would work a damn sight better.
Getting your translation problem solved is at least something.
Getting the problem solved is a big something (there are two songs that were cut from the production for which I have the CD; they sent me the piano sheet music for one - from which I hoped to be able to work out the beat at least, by getting a talented local kid to play it for me - but the other one seemed to be a lost cause. And then it turned out that youtube has an amateur recording of a Dutch production, which includes the missing songs - I have no idea what the Dutch means, but at least I can hear the tune, which is vastly preferable to trying to hack my way through piano music).
And I'm wasting less time doing more work. But I still want LJ back!
I know my invented reality has a lot more cheering crowds and a lot less washing up.
Is this the vampire musical? You'd think that actually coming up with the music so you could make the lyrics fit would be something they'd have considered quite helpful. Hurrah for the internet, on which everything can indeed be found.
When LJ comes back I am backing up properly. And this time I mean it.

I am particularly annoyed that it didn't go down last week, when I was seldom near a computer, but instead this week when I am at one all day.
