It hadn't struck me it would hit Wolfgang as well as you, that's very tough. I am afraid it is going to be very difficult for a lot of people and small organisations. I am feeling immensely lucky to be in the group paid to work from home (though still waiting to bloody do it).

With enormous irony, the only person in our household is Hussein, our resident asylum-seeker, who waded through a sea of bureaucracy in order to be allowed to work self-employed as a paper deliverer. He's out from 2am to 6am, so he has no contact with anyone, and I imagine things will have to get really tough before they close down the newspapers.

We'll be fine, as long as the company doesn't go under. The CEO rang Wolfgang yesterday to say how sorry he was and that they would want him back on board the minute things start up again. If it's only a matter of months, we can weather it. And it's not as if we have many outgoings right now!

I meant to say Hussein is the only person in our household with an income.

There's certainly irony for you. I bet his customers are very happy to stil be getting their papers when they aren't able to get it themselves.

I'm glad to hear that Wolfgang's client is so keen to get him back when they can.

Today's good news is that the head CEO of Wolfgang's company rang him up and said they wouldn't be dropping him completely after all. It won't be the same level of work as BC (Before Covid) but it will definitely add up to more than Hussein earns!

I'm sorry your work is part of the collapsing (on hold?) sectors of the economy. That's really hard. Glad to hear Wolfgang has something.

And I'm also glad to hear about about one of your asylum seeker friends. I really hope they've been doing well since you last posted about them.
